Any MCP server. Anywhere. An OAuth-protected MCP gateway that can also run the servers, plus SI provider proxying with model aliases, and your Grok subscription as an OpenAI-compatible API with no API key.
Overview
From the repository's own README, as read at the audited commit. Badges and raw HTML are left out.
skgate
Serve your MCP servers and REST APIs from one OAuth-protected gateway. Also proxy your SI providers behind one address with model aliases, and use your Grok subscription as an OpenAI-compatible API, no API key needed.
Any MCP server. skgate can run them for you, so you do not need one container per server.

skgate /ɛsˈkɑːɡeɪt/ (ess-KAH-gate)
"sk" is how a lot of SI API keys start, and "gate" is for gateway. Not a great name, but it's ours.
The plane in the logo is an inside joke. The public wouldn't understand it, and I'm not about to explain it. Sorry.

Quick start
You need an OIDC provider with a confidential client for skgate. Admin login is OIDC only. Trying it on one machine? docs/quickstart.md runs skgate with a bundled provider and no accounts.

Questions
What is the skgate MCP server?
Any MCP server. Anywhere. An OAuth-protected MCP gateway that can also run the servers, plus SI provider proxying with model aliases, and your Grok subscription as an OpenAI-compatible API with no API key.
What tools does skgate expose?
1 in total: 1 read-only, 0 that write, and 0 that can delete or overwrite. Every one is listed on this page with its risk.
Is skgate safe to connect to an agent?
No — not without reading the findings first. The audit graded it F (59/100) and found 4 critical or high issues in the source. Each one is listed on this page with the file and line it is on.
What credentials does skgate need?
It reads OIDC_CLIENT_SECRET from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does skgate run?
It speaks streamable-http, so it runs as a service you connect to over the network. It is published on npm as skgate-codemirror-bundle at 1.0.0.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (2fcb1efc6639), read on 2026-10-11. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
