Overview

Assemblash
A local-first visual document engine for people, applications, scripts, and AI agents.
Assemblash makes visual documents: posters, social images, diagrams, and templates. You build a document from text, shapes, images, and SVG files. The document stays editable: every layer stays a layer, every change can be undone, and the export is exactly what you see.
Assemblash is one program. It contains a browser-based editor, a command-line interface, a local HTTP API, and an MCP server for AI agents. You and an AI agent can work on the same document at the same time. No cloud service and no account are necessary.
Current release: 1.11.0. The document schema and the operation API are stable since 1.0. See the release notes or the changelog.
