Overview
From the repository's own README, as read at the audited commit. Badges and raw HTML are left out.
AI coding agents that prove their work — each acceptance criterion checked, and you hold the merge button.
For developers who won't merge what they can't trust — solo or on a team.
Sequant takes a GitHub issue to a merge-ready PR through three phases — plan, implement, review — each in its own git worktree, with quality gates between them. The PR arrives with evidence: every acceptance criterion re-checked against the code and posted to the issue. The merge is always yours.

Why Sequant
- Stop babysitting the agent. AI coding agents write code well and leave the workflow to you — planning, isolation, review, merge safety. One command runs the whole issue → PR path, not just the coding step.
- You stay in control.
sequant runstops at the PR and never merges. That is an invariant, not a setting. (The/fullsolveskill merges only when you opt in:--auto-merge, `run.autoMerge: true

Questions
What is the sequant MCP server?
AI coding agent orchestrator — resolve GitHub issues end-to-end with isolated git worktrees, quality gates, and an MCP server. Works with Claude Code or Aider.
What tools does sequant expose?
12 in total: 11 read-only, 1 that write, and 0 that can delete or overwrite. Every one is listed on this page with its risk.
Is sequant safe to connect to an agent?
No — not without reading the findings first. The audit graded it F (22/100) and found 18 critical or high issues in the source. Each one is listed on this page with the file and line it is on.
What credentials does sequant need?
It reads ANTHROPIC_API_KEY and CODEX_API_KEY from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does sequant run?
It speaks sse and stdio, so it runs as a local process your client starts. It is published on npm as sequant-explorer at 0.1.0.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (f7447d18607f), read on 2026-10-11. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
