OmniMesh GatewayBLOCK
Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway & Registry - Central hub for managing tools, resources, and prompts for MCP-compatible LLMs. Translates REST APIs into MCP, builds virtual MCP servers with security and observability, and bridges multiple transports (stdio, SSE, streamable HTTP).
Overview
From the repository's own README, as read at the audited commit. Badges and raw HTML are left out.

A production-ready API gateway for Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, providing enterprise-grade infrastructure with authentication, logging, rate limiting, server discovery, and multi-protocol transport support.
🚀 Quick Start
Get the entire MCP Gateway stack running with a single command:
# Clone the repository git clone https://github.com/mcp-gateway/mcp-gateway.git cd mcp-gateway # Copy env vars cp .env.example .env # Option 1: Using Docker Compose directly docker compose up --build # Option 2: Using Makefile (automatically detects docker compose vs docker-compose) make setup
Access the application:
- Backend:
http://localhost:8080 - Frontend:
http://localhost:3000 - Admin user:

Architecture
The MCP Gateway is designed with a modular architecture for scalability and maintainability:

Built from this server's own package name, version and transport as found in its source — not copied from anyone's documentation, so it cannot drift against a page we do not control. Replace the environment placeholders with a token scoped to the least it needs.

Questions
What is the OmniMesh Gateway MCP server?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway & Registry - Central hub for managing tools, resources, and prompts for MCP-compatible LLMs. Translates REST APIs into MCP, builds virtual MCP servers with security and observability, and bridges multiple transports (stdio, SSE, streamable HTTP).
What tools does OmniMesh Gateway expose?
9 in total: 9 read-only, 0 that write, and 0 that can delete or overwrite. Every one is listed on this page with its risk.
Is OmniMesh Gateway safe to connect to an agent?
No — not without reading the findings first. The audit graded it D (62/100) and found 1 critical or high issue in the source. Each one is listed on this page with the file and line it is on.
What credentials does OmniMesh Gateway need?
It reads AUTH_KV_REST_API_TOKEN and AUTH_KV_REST_API_URL from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does OmniMesh Gateway run?
It speaks streamable-http, so it runs as a service you connect to over the network. It is published on npm as mcp-gateway-ai-gateway-app at 16.0.0.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (a11af00f658d), read on 2026-10-08. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
