You.com DX ToolkitSAFE
STDIO bridge for the hosted You.com MCP server at https://api.you.com/mcp.
Overview
From the repository's own README, as read at the audited commit. Badges and raw HTML are left out.
Bin-only STDIO bridge for the hosted You.com MCP server at https://api.you.com/mcp.
This package does not register tools locally and does not contain REST tool logic. Its only job is to proxy STDIO MCP traffic to the hosted remote server.
Quick start
// Add this to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.)
// Free tier — no API key, no signup.

"you": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["@youdotcom-oss/mcp"],
"env": { "YDC_PROFILE": "free" }
}
}
}If your client supports remote MCP, point it at https://api.you.com/mcp?profile=free directly — no local process needed.
Claude Desktop

Questions
What is the You.com DX Toolkit MCP server?
STDIO bridge for the hosted You.com MCP server at https://api.you.com/mcp.
What tools does You.com DX Toolkit expose?
1 in total: 1 read-only, 0 that write, and 0 that can delete or overwrite. Every one is listed on this page with its risk.
Is You.com DX Toolkit safe to connect to an agent?
The audit found nothing in the source that contradicts what it says it does, and graded it B (89/100). Grade A is held back for packages that have also passed a sandboxed behavioural run, which is why a clean server reads B.
What credentials does You.com DX Toolkit need?
It reads YDC_API_KEY from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does You.com DX Toolkit run?
It speaks stdio and streamable-http, so it runs as a local process your client starts. It is published on npm as @youdotcom-oss/mcp at 4.0.3.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (55b74d05327f), read on 2026-10-09. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
