In one line: your AI coding agent checks for throttling before heavy work — full speed while the Mac isn't throttling, hot or not (except at the ≥ 108 °C default safety floor), and it waits only when it actually is. "Throttling" means any of three signals: macOS thermal pressure above Nominal, the GPU capped by CLTM, or the P-core hardware clock dropping below its all-core full-load value. The third was added after a same-machine test on 2026-09-25 found the P-cores 7.4% down while macOS still reported `Nominal`, and it ships from 1.1.0 (see Data and What counts as throttling).
18-second demo. The idle and heavy-load hold frames are real captures; the ~1.4 s transition between them is linearly interpolated (labelled "Transition · interpolated" — those numbers are not real readings); the "throttling" segment is a staged scenario (not a recorded event), and the terminal frames reproduce the source code's output format. The panel is shown in its English UI; cool42's own CLI / hook status strings inside the terminal frames are still Chinese, as in the product.
