Governed actions, shared memory, audit, and rollback for MCP clients such as Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Claude Code. Works locally with zero config (SQLite) for memory and policy-evaluation workflows, or connects to Novyx Cloud for policy-as-code, approval workflows, governance dashboards, Runtime v2, replay, and eval baselines. The threat-intelligence and defense-tracking tools were removed in 2.9.0 and never enforced anything; upgrade to 2.9.0 or later.
What To Try First
Use Novyx MCP when coding agents need reviewable shared memory instead of untracked context sprawl:
draft_memory(
observation="Deploys fail if REDIS_URL is unset in staging",
tags=["ops", "staging"],
importance=8,
branch_id="staging-fixes"
)
memory_branch("staging-fixes")
draft_diff("drf_abc123")
merge_branch("staging-fixes")That workflow keeps agent memory reviewable before it becomes permanent. The same server also exposes governed-action tools (action_submit, list_pending, approve_action, explain_action) when you connect it to Novyx Cloud.

Questions
What is the Novyx MCP server?
MCP tools for Novyx governed actions, shared memory, audit, rollback, and evidence workflows.
Is Novyx safe to connect to an agent?
The audit found nothing in the source that contradicts what it says it does, and graded it B (89/100). Grade A is held back for packages that have also passed a sandboxed behavioural run, which is why a clean server reads B.
What credentials does Novyx need?
It reads NOVYX_API_KEY and NOVYX_CONTROL_API_KEY from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does Novyx run?
It speaks stdio and streamable-http, so it runs as a local process your client starts. It is published on PyPI as novyx-mcp.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (949c809c8c10), read on 2026-10-08. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
