Better Auth
Better Auth is a framework-agnostic authentication (and authorization) framework for TypeScript. It provides a comprehensive set of features out of the box and includes a plugin ecosystem that simplifies adding advanced functionalities with minimal code in a short amount of time. Whether you need 2FA, multi-tenant support, or other complex features, it lets you focus on building your actual application instead of reinventing the wheel.
Why Better Auth
Authentication in the TypeScript ecosystem is a half-solved problem. Other open-source libraries often require a lot of additional code for anything beyond basic authentication. Rather than just pushing third-party services as the solution, I believe we can do better as a community—hence, Better Auth.

Questions
What is the @better-auth/cimd MCP server?
The most comprehensive authentication framework
What tools does @better-auth/cimd expose?
12 in total: 12 read-only, 0 that write, and 0 that can delete or overwrite. Every one is listed on this page with its risk.
Is @better-auth/cimd safe to connect to an agent?
No — not without reading the findings first. The audit graded it F (31/100) and found 3 critical or high issues in the source. Each one is listed on this page with the file and line it is on.
What credentials does @better-auth/cimd need?
It reads AUTH0_CLIENT_ID, AUTH0_CLIENT_SECRET, AUTH0_DOMAIN, AUTH_SECRET, BETTER_AUTH_ADAPTER_TEST_DATABASE_URL, BETTER_AUTH_SECRET, BETTER_AUTH_TELEMETRY, BETTER_AUTH_TELEMETRY_DEBUG, BETTER_AUTH_TELEMETRY_ENDPOINT, BETTER_AUTH_URL, DISCORD_CLIENT_SECRET and FACEBOOK_CLIENT_SECRET from the environment. Give it a token scoped to the least it needs — an agent that can be talked into calling a tool can be talked into calling it with your credentials.
How does @better-auth/cimd run?
It speaks streamable-http, so it runs as a service you connect to over the network. It is published on npm as @better-auth-test/test.
How current is this page?
The grade is for one exact copy of the source (292adb28c722), read on 2026-10-12. The repository is watched and re-audited when it changes.
